The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has published the resolution of the 2023 NEOTEC program, by which 131 projects have been approved with a total budget of 53 million euros, of which the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) contributes 40 million, with the support of European Next Generation funds. Among the project awarded, we are delighted to see Ephion Health and Virmedex appearing as recipients of the 2023 NEOTEC grants.
Both projects have been supported by Xartec Salut when they were still at the benchtop of the laboratory through the different programs we promote and finally lead to the creation of both spin-offs during the past years.
Ephion Health provides a digital platform that unifies patient mobility data to aid in clinical trials, healthcare research, and clinical care. Virmedex empowers healthcare providers with a training platform based on 3D physiologically realistic simulation games that stage from standard interventions to crisis situations. Their flagship product, virCPB, is an online cardiopulmonary bypass training program that covers everything from starting to maintenance to weaning, in both regular and crisis situations. Read more…
